Can you explain more on what you mean by problems with wiring? I have a '97 Disco, and Haven't had a wiring problem yet. 99k miles. |

I have heard that the wiring on pre '99 models had some trouble (nothing specific was mentioned) and was redesigned in for the '99 models. Have been cosidering the purchase of a '98 and wanted to see if there was anything in particular to look for. |

Nothing specific in wiring that I am aware of, but if you do a search here, you will find all kinds of data on purchasing a Disco. Some will be good, some will be bad. It all depends on what you are going to do with it. Please take all information with a grain of salt, and remember if you really want a disco, look it over very well (find a friend or someone who owns one that lives near by to go with you) and just give it a complete look over before buying. Good luck, I bought mine on Ebay off just the pictures and talking to the wholesaler prior to purchase. I Love it and wouldn't get rid of it for anything. Joey |
