OK, I'm looking at my original sticker for my 2003 Discovery SE and ACE is not listed in the "suspension" portion. I don't think I have ACE but my SE came with the 18" rims and I was told that usually means you have ACE. How do I tell for sure? Sorry if this is a stupid question but I had to ask. |

It would be on the invoice if you had it. It was a $1700 option.

Be glad you don't have ACE since you can remove the sway bars. I have ACE, but I have no idea if it even works.

Shane, all 2002, 2003, and 2004 SEs came with 18" wheels. If you think you have ACE, look at your power steering fluid reservoir. If it is split in 2, with 2 different pictures on it, you have ACE. I'm guessing no. |

no split in the power steering fluid reservoir. I didn't think I had it, just had to make sure. Thanks all. |

If your not sea sick when cornering your ACE is working. It transforms the handling Here in the UK where roads have corners and we have lots of roundabouts you be mad not to have it Also in low box its disabled and free's up the rams, hence its like having auto dislocating roll bars. ACE equiped D2's have greater articulation than D1's or non ACE D2's While its working its a real bonus. When it eventually fails I'll swap to roll bars, but its worked for 60K so far |

85k mile with ace and no problems 'till now of course. One of the rear links broke (arm to axle). The difference it makes is amazing. Besides, if it fails you have a dedicated pump for a Mile Marker winch ;) |

"Be glad you don't have ACE since you can remove the sway bars. I have ACE, but I have no idea if it even works." Jamil- drive a non ACE vehicle so you can appreciate it. Madmole only touched on the benifits. Either on or off-road it add to your vehicles capability. If it fails, you have an idiot light. |

Madmole well said! I have a 99 DII with ACE and have not had any problems. 94,000 miles on my rig!As you said, you benefit on and off road with this system. Yet it seems to get a "BUM" rap here. I have a two inch lift, sliders etc.. and ACE has been a treat to have. |

FWIW sometime surprises happen. I know of one vehicle that came through with air suspension, even though it wasn't listed on the invoice. The customer sometimes wins...... |
