I have tracked my latest leak to the door aperture seals particularly at the top rear of both front doors. Anyone had the same problem? The doors have to be tight hard in which is no good so I am trying good second hand seals first as the new ones are about US$185 each over here but second hand is a thrid of the price. Compared with other vehicles the sealing of a flat panel of the window frame against the rubber looks pretty basic. Hope the change of seal works. Last leak a couple of years ago needed a piece of flat plate welded over the heater inlet to divert water getting in. Worked a treat. Worst aspect was taking the guards off as part of the process of finding the leak and seeing bare unpainted metal. The 95s were thrown together all right. I think they magnatised a template on a wall and threw the parts bin at it. Cheers Alan New Zealand. |

Do you have any objects interfering with the door seal interface? http://www.pbase.com/image/26568398 |

Alan, try tightening the door using the cylinder latch attached to the frame. Move this part towards the seats and see if that gets you a better seal. I had the same problem with my front drivers seat (Too much wind noise) and my rear left door (leaking water when it rain or car wash). I adjusted both doors and the water leak at least is gone, the wind noise is now only apparent when is gusty outside. |
