Does anyone know if there is a way to clean the inside of the clear plastic front of the fog lights? Is it possible?? Did a search but didn't seem to come up with anything. Thanks for any help! SEAN |

Try Greased Lightning or any other de-greaser. |

You can take it apart I think. Seems like it disassembles from the back. I haven't done it yet but I noticed the steps as I was thumbing through the manual the other night. I've got to change the bulb in my right fog light and it got some water in it and got the inside of the lens dirty. |

I've taken apart both of my fog lights now. It was very easy to do. I basically did it to: 1. remove the water/condensation 2. replace the bulbs 3. re-seal Although not necessary, you can put the front end up on jack stands and remove the tires to make the job easier. I recommend removing the two bolts securing the bracket at the top and removing the screws at the bottom to remove. Obviously you'll have to disconnect the light up behind the head light. Take apart the light and pull of the back cover. You'll need a torx bit to get the side screws off. Pull apart the lens from the inner body. Remove the bulb carefully - it may be rusted on. If its burnt out then don't worry about it. I scraped off the old seal and then took the plastic to the sink for cleaning. I used some dish detergent and an old tootbrush to clean up. Reassemble the light and place some new sealant around the lens and inner body. Use something to clamp it for an hour or so while the seal dries or sets up. It's that easy. |
