I changed the battery in my 95 disco as I have done a few times in the past. This time however the radio will not except the code. I know this it the right code because I have used it in the past. What could cause this? |

If I remeber correctly, if you use the wrong code three times your radio automaticly prevents you from entering any more codes. Even though you entered the right code, it sounds like this might be the problem. I think (I can't remeber if this is for the BMW or LR) you have to turn the radio off and leave power to the radio for up to one hour! You can just turn your key to II, but you risk running your battery down. I was told to go driving for one hour AND NOT TO TOUCH THE RADIO during that time. This has to be one continuous hour straight. Then you can enter the code again. Don't waste your time until someone verifies my info. Like I said, this may be for BMW and not for LR. Hope this helps. |

Curt is correct! If that fails, remove the positive battery lead wire for a bit, reconnect and give that a try. It cracks me up, like a thief would actually steal that P.O.S. Land Rover radio. |
