The cupholder in the rear armrest in my D2 is broken. After pulling it apart, it looks like a design defect & will break again. I don't use it & hate to pay the dealer $80.00 for a new one. Was this an option, is there a blank off plate to cover the hole? |

Could you just cut the black cover off of the cup holders and then some how put it back in perminantly. |

Bob, if you are still under warranty, the dealership will likely replace it. That being said, I have never used my rear cupholder for holding cups. That thing has been operated by passengers more out of curiosity as opposed to actually operating it to hold a cup. |

Craig, It's a 99 so that option is out. It's a mickey mouse piece of shit that will break again. It looks bad w/ just the hole in the armrest, but I'm afraid that if ghetto fab something it will look worse. There is several cubic inches of storage space in there if some sort of door is available to cover the opening. I wouldn't mind as much if I left the armrest up, but I leave it down so I can see out the rear window. |

There are like 4 cupholders in the back. None in front, unless you have that cupholder kit. How thirsty can 2 backseat passengers get? Never understood that logic........>JB

There are like at least 8 cup holders that i can think of and then you can get 2 more if thats not enough. |

John- What kind of D2 do you have? I have the flimsy pair in the center armrest and there are two very poor excuses for cupholders in the lid of the center console. In fact, I am hesitant to even call those cupholders at all. As far as I'm concerned there are no cupholders in the rear. The only two good cupholders in the Disco are the big ones that are mounted on the center console flanking the transmission selector. Everything else is just flimsy crap. Oh yeah, that reminds me of another pet peeve about the retractable front cupholders... sticky A/C buttons due to sloshing soda.
