Has anyone used Audiopipe bat. terminals? Are they sealed? I have a Optima bat. and was thinking of using Audiopipe terminals. Any pros or cons? Second question I'm getting a slight rev when at the light, its not bad but I notice it on the tach and can feel it, what can be off? I just got it back after being at the dealer for over a month, for a head job, & transfer case leak.
Thanks,
Rick

Rick-

I use Audiopipe terminals. They are not sealed. I think they work well with my Optima Yellow Top. My favorite Audiopipe product is the Power Distribution Block.

Being that they are not sealed, can that cause any problems, as to bat. life? You are right the dist. center is very nice, that is my main reason for the purchase. How did you install them?

I finally got around to installing mine this weekend. I can't see them affecting an optima's life span. Plus they give you such a clean install.... Tasty.

I mounted the power dist. block to the wall of the D2 battery box on my D2.

I put a 50A fuse inline between the (+) terminal and the distribution block. I believe it's a 4 gauge wire that connects the two.

Hey Craig,

You are not going to believe this.....Fedex dropped my two yellow tops off at the wrong place on Friday. So now on Monday, I have to do a scavenger hunt on a Marine Corps Base for the damn things.

Rick,

I have 4 audiopipe terminals that I plan on installing once I locate the batteries. I'll send in a Tech article to DWEB once complete.

Any car stereo shop will carry 50A fuses and inline carriers.

Darvex has all kinds of fuse holders and fuses. They have AGU, MAXI and MIDI in 50 amp and ANL in 60amp.

I've installed the Stinger and Audiopipe terminals and like them a fair deal. You can get a plastic cover for most to help give some protection although they aren't really sealed. I'm getting around to installing a fused distribution block which should be a cleaner install and easier to manage.
