I am considering the Interco Trxus 265/75/16 size for my '00 DII using the stock rims. Anyone use them? Pros and Cons. The tire is listed around $115 which males it cheaper than BFG but I really don't know the tradeoffs, etc. TIA. http://www.intercotire.com/html/trxus_mt___sts.htm |

I have these on my DI, but 235/85-16s. Fairly quite ride & I've been impressed with how they handle on snow/ ice. I've really liked them on the trail so far, but will go with a bigger size next time around............ Barry |

Phil, I also run these on my D1 in a 235/85/16 and have been overly impressed. I will say that if you do ALOT of driving on the road, you may want to go with something a little more versatile, but as far as the trails, mud, snow and rain, they rock. Taking a turn on a windy backroad at 50, different story. Overall though, I say go for it. Oh, and I purchased mine from www.4wheelparts.com |

I've got the TrXus MTs on a series, 235/85-16, I really like them both on road and off. The tread pattern works great in everything soft and slippery that I've come across so far. They also clean quite nicely. They balanced fine, at least up to 60MPH, which is about all I like to go in the truck. I've aired them down as far as 10PSI and had no problems. I will say, I recently put a set of BFG MT KMs on the disco and the BFG feels like a "beefier" tire and definitely has a harder compound in the tread. Concensus seems to be that the TrXus will wear quickly as a daily driver road tire. |

This has been discussed alot in the past, do a search for "trxus" or truxus" or "interco" and you will find lots of info: http://www.discoweb.org/cgi-bin/discus/search.cgi

Thanks for all the replies. I've read most of the archived information before I posted this. I'm mainly curious who has a 265/75/16 Trxus on their DII for off/on road use. Anyway, I may go with a different tire. BTW, I've used BFG M/T; BFG A/T; Dunlop Mud Rover; Bridegetone dog bones and Futura M/T's in my previous rigs and there is no one silver bullet IMO. ; )
