The green bulb went out on my rear fog lamps switch.. In the dash to the left of the stearing column. I removed it and the letter that appears on the bulb is K 10. Next to the green bulb, there is also an amber bulb...It still operates only when the light is pressed in. My ?? is does anybody know where I can get the small green bulb @? Is it factory? I took it to a few places today like AutoZone and they were clueless!
It is the light that illuminates once the interior lights are activated (@ night).

The dealer should have it.

I replaced several of my switch bulbs. The dealer carries them and they're around $9 each. They're quite easy to replace. Just a small, flat blade screwdriver and maybe a pair of small needle nose pliers. Piece of cake.

Hey, I had to figure out how to remove the switch the hard way also....a friend at the dealer showed me. I was like..."duh!". Pretty cool the way some of the dash components can be pulled out by hand.

Melissa
How many lawyers does it take to change a Rover switch bulb?
Don't know. When the light comes on, they all scatter!

Nathan Crabtree has them at Discount Rovers too - definitely lower price than $9 from the dealer.

I replaced mine a week ago (the thread might still be up). As somebody had mentioned before, replacing one of these bulbs might be a sign that the others might go out soon.
I went to Radio Shack and purchase the bulb for $1.69US. I got four. There are two bulbs in a pack. The wires are longer so that you have plenty of slack to work on.
Just take out the bulb from the green holder and remove the green "condom", replace the bulb, insert the green "jimmy", rewire...and it's done.

RoverChic,
I'm sure glad you are studying law and not trying to be a surgeon! ;-)

They're quite easy to replace. Just a small, flat blade screwdriver and maybe a pair of small needle nose pliers. I'd say be gentle and work it out slowly but it appears to be too late for that.
