Take it you've checked that the dimmer is set in the correct position....

Chris I just fixed my climate control lights today on my 95 d1. The bulb was out. take the knobs off, usually can pry or pop them off then theres two philips head screws visible take them out and you'll see the bulb. pull it out of the holder and go to the auto parts store they should have them for about a buck. I went to a Porsche BMW dealer I used to wrench at and they gave it to me free. works great now. did the same with the clock except I used a BMW bulb for that (also free)

don't know what to tell you about the cig lighter if the fuse is good it might be the lighter part isn't touching correctly. try something else and see if it works when plugged into it.

Cheers, Andy

Frank,

When you say "checked fuses" do you mean you checked the fuse marked cigar lighter or ALL the fuses? The reason I ask is because I had a similar problem once and it was a completly different fuse.

I had a similar probmlem where my cigar lighter and other lights would not work and the fuse checked out to be ok but then i replaced it any how and that seemed to be the problem. You may want to try to replace it anyhow and see what happens.

Haven't had this problem on my disco--yet. I used to install systems in hondas and a commonly blown fuse was listed as "small lights." It ran the tail lights as well as all the dash lights.

Even with the batt unplugged during the majority of the install, I still managed to blow it 3 times. But thats another story :-)
