What might cause the front turn signals to be the only lights not to work? I read in past owners maint. recs. that they did not work before we bought it and that he had wired the trailer lights himself. He did not get it fixed. The mechancics recs. suggested to try a new headlight switch( but they are pretty expensive). Does anyone have suggestion or a used switch in a parts vechicle? |

Adrian, just curious. When you say the front turnsignals do not work, do the front side markers in the fenders work? Do the turn signals in the Bumper work? Just so you know the parking lights next to the Headlights are not turn signals (just in case you did not know) |

blown bulbs, bad ground, broken wires, blown fuses. if the guy wired it himself he might have gone with the trial and error method and burt something along the way. just a thought. |

Adrian, Remove the turn signal stalk. Take off the column shroud and 2 phillips screws are accessible by turning the wheel. Pull the stalk straight out with a firm tug. Disassemble it with the same phillips driver and you'll see black crud on the terminals for the turn signals. Clean the contacts, apply some fresh dielectric grease and reassemble. Good for another 50K. Cheers, Shawn |

Yeah they are the front marker lights. They work when I signal, but they do not stay on when the head lights are on. Thanks for the help, I will try these tommorrow night after work. I'll let you know if it works. |

Those are *NOT* marker lights! They are turn signals only. The marker lights are in the plastic bumper corners, and also there is a small "sidelight" bulb inside the headlamp unit (no, not the H4 bulb, the other little bulb).
