the XL has a cousin Tire XCL that is steel belted side wall.

the ones i have for sale are the older XL with standard ply sidewall.

XCL are the European spec XL. they have a few different sizes as well but finding them over in the states is difficult....

the XZL will not do mud well. since the treads are tightly packed it will fill with mud and become basically a slick...

Chris, I have to disagree. I'm running the 9.00x16 XZL's and recently went through some deep mud with no clogging whatsoever.

I have seen a set clog up with mud before.. However, in all fairness, I have seen every make of tire clog up with mud at some point in time.. Most though clear pretty well if you use enough gas pedal. The best mud tire that I have seen so far when it comes to not getting glogged up is the Swamper TSL.

that's fine that yours didn't clog. i'm just basing them on deep goop which other MTs really didn't have a problem with...I guess it must me the mud up here in the northeast because we seem to be the people who have the most problems with them, hehe

No worries Chris. A Bogger it's not, but it has done well for me here in the East.
