Has anyone else had a problem with their sunroofs leaking when using a car wash? The dealer (non-LR used car) warned me that the sunroofs tend to leak when using high-pressure systems. To put it bluntly, I'm not gifted when it comes to washing cars, and it's to the point where I'm considering making covers for my 2 sunroofs!

Yes, the rear one. It happened to me in one of those touchless washes that move all round the vehicle (Disco '03). When the first high-pressure jets hit from the rear the sun roof lifts a fraction of an inch, allowing some drops of spray in. Now I stuff a thin towel around the inside of the rear sun roof before venturing in. Doesn't do it on the front sun roof, thank goodness.

No sunroof on my Disco, BUT...the one on my RR lets water in when I pass under the air blower at the end of the car wash. I just push up on the rear of the glass when I get to that point in the wash and no water gets in.
I assume its all part of the LR charm!

This is a common problem. I had the same problem on my 94. There is a drain that runs down the pillar throught the passenger side and if it is clogged up it will leak just as the A/C does when that drain is clogged.

hmmm... I'll check out the drains and see what happens. If it makes a difference, its been raining pretty hard and no leaking, it's just the pressure washers that make it leak.
