Has anyone else had a problem with their sunroofs leaking when using a car wash? The dealer (non-LR used car) warned me that the sunroofs tend to leak when using high-pressure systems. To put it bluntly, I'm not gifted when it comes to washing cars, and it's to the point where I'm considering making covers for my 2 sunroofs! |

Yes, the rear one. It happened to me in one of those touchless washes that move all round the vehicle (Disco '03). When the first high-pressure jets hit from the rear the sun roof lifts a fraction of an inch, allowing some drops of spray in. Now I stuff a thin towel around the inside of the rear sun roof before venturing in. Doesn't do it on the front sun roof, thank goodness. |

No sunroof on my Disco, BUT...the one on my RR lets water in when I pass under the air blower at the end of the car wash. I just push up on the rear of the glass when I get to that point in the wash and no water gets in. I assume its all part of the LR charm! SandMan

This is a common problem. I had the same problem on my 94. There is a drain that runs down the pillar throught the passenger side and if it is clogged up it will leak just as the A/C does when that drain is clogged. |

hmmm... I'll check out the drains and see what happens. If it makes a difference, its been raining pretty hard and no leaking, it's just the pressure washers that make it leak. |
