i have a 95 DI w/145K miles that RANDOMLY throws up Code: 40 (Mis fire bank A), 50 (Mis fire bank B), 44 (Lambda sensor A) or 45 (Lambda sensor B) i recently replaced both O2 sensors so im sure they are "okay" the good thing is that none of these issues ever seems to make the engine mis so much as a beat?!?!??! the irritating thing is that my rig will randomly throw one of these codes up about once every 3-4 weeks. the way i've been clearing them out is to unhook the battery cable over night. this always works but its a pain in the ass and there has to be a better way... does anyone know it??? |

purchase a code reader with the ability to 'clear' the code. I've heard from others on the board that Autozone has one. Check 'em out.

This site not only explains the codes, but also explains the easiest way to clear them for OBDI. http://www.fourfold.org/LR_FAQ/RR/FAQ.Engines.Fault.Codes.html
