Recently swapped out 3.9 for a 4.6 and ever since, the transmission seems to be acting weird. It appears to be shifting at a much higher RPM (around 3500rpm when light on the gas) and the other half of the time it just doesn't want to shift out of 1st or 2nd. Any clue? Would a kickdown cable need to be adjusted? |

Just a guess but the ECU needs to be told that there is a different motor. I think in the testbook (Dealers Computer) it can be adjusted. Let us know what you did, I am thinking of doing the same swap when my engine gives up the ghost......Dave |

No no no - The 14CUX and that transmission do not talk. That is purely the DS2. Brian - adjust the kickdown cable. Sounds like you need to let it out a little. |

Curtis, What do you mean? I have a reprogrammed 14CUX ECU. Why will it not talk to my transmission? My stock ECU was a 14CUX. 1995 D1 Thanks |

Brian, I was responding to Daves post. Your 14CUX will work fine. So much so that the transmission does not care (or know) what it thinks. It is probably your kickdown cable. /C |
