"Problems that could cause brake failure and fires have been found in two types of model, the company said. Owners of the Discovery Series 2 model and the Defender four-by-four are being asked to take them for remedial work. The cars were built at the firm's factory between September 1998 and December 2003 but a company spokesman said no drivers had been hurt."
