Anyone else out there bent the crap out of thier stock rear bumper only to find the replacements are too heavy, too much, too bluky, too ..., well I'm fed up and trying to build my own. I cut the crap out of the rear and will be putting a strong, cheap, fairly light (about 75lb) rear bumper on this weekend. I'll put some pics up if anyone is intrested. Hopefully it will work out because there is no turning back now. |

dont sound so sad. at least you will have a custom bumper that will not bend. i am working on one that will take a winch! cant wait |

I bought a TJM bumper from ExpeditionExchange. It was inexpensive, light, easy to install, and may I say... looks great. |

Jim, I did like the TJM but I'm strapped for cash so it too was out of my current price range. Lockers, sliders, axles, rims, tires, front bumper, winch, gears, drive shafts, and RTE 3" lift has put me in the poor house but damn I'm happy. I am looking at spending around $80 and a days work, so I hope it goes well. |
