All you slowpokes out there:

I was one of the first to try this, and Mark Adams actually programs these chips. His ad is in the back of many Rover magazines.

First I would like to say that all benfits claimed for these chip are true, and the stock chip sucks by comparison. And it is very easy to change the chip in my 92RR(but the first time took me at least two hours). Mark will also reprogram the chip for you for only $100.

However there is a catch. That is the chip is programed to match upgrades which you have made to your engine. So if you really want to go fast in the 2500 to 4500 rpm range you have to modify more than the ECU program. You do get improved idling and fuel efficiency regardless.

Randall,

Any idea about this rechipping for a 96 4.6 HSE with a Borla with a customized concal shaped K & N stuffed into the OEM air box? How do I get a hold of Mark Adams?

Andrew

Send background info first to: [email protected]

Most definately available for the GEMS computer, but more money than the CUX chip.

I am using the complete NRP exhaust system as a substitute for uprated camshaft. Also have reworked the intake some. And also have a complete '92 intake system that I will be rebuilding soon. Will get high flow heads or long block after that.

Hi Randall,

Did you feel a big difference with the NPR installed?

Adrian

Yes the complete sytem has at least 20% more flow capacity than stock. But keep in mind that I have also made simular mods to my intake and rechipped the ECU to match.
