My 10spline axled rear diff blew on ledge climb . The center pin and side/ spider gears broke. No other visible damage to R&P or teeth. I have pulled the third member and have the diff on my kitchen table. How easy will this be to fix and does it require adjusting backlash or removing bearings to fix center pin and side gears ?? I am diff dumb and need a lesson please !! Anyone have a source or have these spare diff parts that I need for sale. I have ordered a used diff but want to fix this one to both learn and have a spare. I plan on staying with open diffs and 10 spline axles. |

More then likely you need a new carrier. Its possible that one is still ok but doubtfull. They ussually wear pretty bad and arent worth fixing. After you get a new/used carrier you will have to take the carrier out of the third member by removing the two caps. Reinstalling will invlove setting the backlash... Kyle |

JB, I have two ARB equipped 3rd members complete (for 10 splines) for sale. Just drop these in, hook up air and go climbing some more ledges! Email me if this entices you! |

Can the ARB´s be modified from 10 to 24 spline gears ? The suppliers usually have spare parts (sealing-O-rings), why shouldn´t they be able to supply two tiny gears ?? Just thinking loud .. |
