I am looking for a 300tdi disco. Where is the best place to look for one on the net. I don't want to buy one in the UK, because I live in CA.

Since the modern Rover diesels were never certified for use in the USA, you'll have a tough time finding a legal one.

You might try LRX.COM. The best way (still not legal) would be to bring the major parts of one into USA via container and install in a US Spec truck. It's been done, but it ain't cheap or easy.

TDI 300 are older models.
LR new models are powered by TD5, 5 cilynders common rail diesels.
TDI 300 engine is knowed as Maxxion, (now INTERNATIONAL) in Mercosur and builded in Brazil for domestic TDI Defenders.
GM, Ford, and Merceds Benz vehicles are powered with these motors in Brasil and Argentina, too.

Problem, though, is, since you're in California, you could never register a Rover that was swapped over to diesel. I think you might be out of luck.

FWIW....
