I have just had the head gaskets changed and both of the heads surfaced in January and all of the sudden it started pushing coolant out of the cap again. I wantched while my mechanic tested for exhaust fumes in the cooling system and imediatly it showed. They wanted to change the gaskets again, this time puting in a newer style. It started doing it again a day after I picked it up. Now my guy has worked on this Rover and many of my friends for years so I trust him. But now he is telling me all he can think of is that the black must be cracked. Does this sound right to anyone else? I purchased this vehicle from my freinds father who bought it brand new and just used it as a run about. I know it has been maintained and well cared for not mistreated. noreason for this to happen. Anyone know where I could find a 4.6 from a wreck to put in this? I figure if I have to replace the engine I might as well upgrade. Thanks, Paul |
