what kind of treatment would you recommend to do to the vogue-3spoke-alloy rims. Mine do leak air slowly and have the common surface corrosion, so time to do something.
Is powdercoating durable in this application ?
Alternatives ?

Thanks in advance, again:)

On a LR even the wheels leak! Just enough to drive you crazy.

The reason for the air leaks is that salt/snad and mud get pushed inbetween the tire rim and the wheel rim. Your truck is 12 years old and now corrosion in the rim area is causing slow air leaks.

One solution is to use tire sealer on the rim)looks like black silicone adhesive) Another solution is to buy another set of wheels, and then use the old 3 spokes for off-roading or snow or beach driving.

What color is your RR, and what kind/size tires do you have??

Hi Randall,

its Trocadero Red, coming with Light-grey rims.
I am still running on stock size (235/70-16) but wait for ages for me to finally decide whether aquire 255/85 or 265/75 and to whether taking a 3.8:1 or 4.11:1 diff ratio. And of course it will still take some time to collect the neccessary cash.

The grey or black wheels would look reeally good on your truck. The alum colored wheels are universally good choice.

There are companies which specialize in refurbishing wheels, but it might depend on how corrode they are. I got 10 Tornado style wheels and had them painted with urethane to match my body color. It looks great, but afterwards I realized that the factory wheels are powdercoated, which is much more chip resistant.

You should be able to find good LR wheels from $50 to $200 per wheel. The cheapest ones are the three spoke RR wheels like you have now.

Thanks for the info.

I already have bought 5 3-spoke alloys recently (25$ each, but very used) - so they will be powdercoated.
