No download rights on my pc today- plz help. For a 1990 Range rover 10 spline. I need the rear driveshaft bolt and nylock nut part numbers. They are 3/8 diameter, around 1 inch long and an 18 thread ( i think ) . If you have the correct nut and bolt specs that would be great too. Thanks JB |

JB The driveshaft bolts are part# 509045P and NZ606041L for the nuts. I think the nuts are 3/8"-24 with nylon locking. There is something odd about the screws which makes them not really available to the public( they are only half way threaded even though they are only an inch long) I've worn mine out lately trying to figure out what the f--- is causing my vibration! You Rock Man - Thanks!!! I spent 4 hours driving around looking for those little sumbitches. Those nylocks nuts are the same for the diff to axle housing right? Who do you order yours from.. And I bought some 10 spline axles which are one piece - axle and flange are one piece - they seem old schoolas my axle and hub flange are held with a c-clip/spline joint - can I run them in my 1990? They seem to be same length etc but I don't want to test them to find out..Ali if you are reading this what year are those axles I got from you from??? JB |

I've replaced mine with units from the hardware store. Same length, same threading, but grade 8. Don't bother with the nylocks, just use loctite. It works better and you don't have to replace the nuts every other time you remove them. Not to mention that nylocks aren't hardened. -P |

JB I order from DLS in the UK, or Rovers North. To be practical, just get some 3/8 bolts and nuts from the hardware store like Perrone says. But do it right. As for interchagability, I know if you change enough parts you can use the axle/CVs from any simular Land Rover. I would call Larry at the Rover Club House 919-682-5063. Randall |
