My 95 RR Classic has developed a lovely clunk/click eminating from the front of the car. Also the noise used to alternate between the left and the right side The clunk was intermittent until today where it became constant and more prominent. The clunk/click sounds initially like someone beating on the frame of the truck w/ a rubber mallet. As i increase my speed the noise becomes to get faster and faster until it disappears at 30 mph. Whether i turn right or left seems to make no difference. it also happens in hi or lo and in reverse. I am incline to think it is a CV going south. If so are these hard to replace and can i replace just one side or do i need to replace both? Any help hints or suggestions? |
