Man if you go, post some pictures. Every other weekend I watch the whole deal from practice to qualifying to the race. I am tired of the prissy shumakers and am ready for some attitude from the bimmer driver JPM.

I'll be there. I have been to all the US Grand Prixs at Indy. I have been to the 500 every year for about last ten years, and I have gone to almost all the Brickyard 400s since it started in '94, and I have to say the Formula 1 race is the ultimate. It is an awesome experiance to be there.

I second that, one of the best $75 I have ever spent!

Went last year, last minute with a friend who had an extra ticket and it was amazing!

Go early and catch all the preraces and warmup laps.

My buddy who lives in KC has gone every year so far and has sent me some pics of the BMW show cars as I don't get to go.

i look at turn one from my office window, my office has a bunch of parking spaces next to it and i can reserve some for people if they wish...

but you will have to park next to my 91 G wagen.

i can hear some practice runs for the 400 as I write..

cheers

The last F1 I had the chance to attend was when it was in Phoenix, but have been thinking about going to Indy until I want to $$$$$$ to Nurburgring or Italy or even better Monte Carlo. Lifestyles of the rich and shameless!

When I saw your statement about parking spaces my heart started beating faster! Is that invitation open?

Belonging to the BMW Car Club has the perk of being able to hang with some of the drivers and pit babes, plus be able to escape the heat or rain under one of their huge tents. I would be happy to put you on my "guest" list if you're interested.

Til Later,
Don

Just a suggestion for anyone who goes to any of the races, don't park close. We get passes to park in the infield, but never use them. I have found it is best to park a mile or 2 away and just walk there. Otherwise you will be sitting in traffic for a few hours trying to get out. They even have golf carts driving back and forth from the speedway if you are too lazy to walk a half hour.

Yippee! Now we have F1 lovers! I am slowly but surely converting as many of the SC NASCAR set by just asking them to watch just one race. It is amazing to see the look on thier face after their first race. Whadda ya mean only 22 cars! And that course is so crooked, why look, they even turn right and left through the course! Luckily, DirectTV has Speedvision on 607 so I can watch it.

IMHO, DC is a better driver than JPM, but I am a blond Californian in the deep south. LOL

Enjoy,

Bill M.

Bill:
I grew up in SC and I know your job is a hard one, but be patient, they will see the light. I can't disagree with you about Juan-Pablo, but DC is the most arrogant SOB out there, I have to pull for BMW.

BTW, see if you can tour the BMW plant over in Greenville, there have been some very interesting "experiements" going on over there.

here is how the parking situation works..there is a liquo store that takes care pays for all the dumpster and keeps the lot clean throught out the year, thus they charge for parking but i can reserve as many spots as need be. As far as waiting sitting in traffic goes, i have never sat in traffic, we just sit in our AC office drink beer eat and watch the girls and drunks stumble down the street and wait a few hours, really its never been a problem...

yes michael noee i have a G wagen..after 3 rovers that i constantaly had to fiddle with, i bought a G wagen in Germany and imported it and average a bit over 3000 miles a month on it since febuary 23, 2002 and have not had any problems..it has about 107k on the clock now.....

looking forward to F1

I'd love to go. I'm going to some of the Ferrari challenge races and may not be able to go. It sounds like lotsa fun. As for Schumacher, come on now a german driving an Italian is a contradiction that is hard to swallow:) I'll probably be working the pit crew so it will be worth missing it. Only thing better would be driving it. Here is the race teams new/used Modena:1,my picture

Apparently Ford is returning the Blue Oval back to F1 next season. That ought to be interesting.
