Did a lot of reasearch to locate a shipper that was reasonable in cost. I needed to ship my adventure roof rack from PA to CO. UPS told me to large for them, grayhound does not ship such large items (however excellent prices for items they do ship), a number of carriers were in the $250 price range and then I found SHIP-INC (1-800-870-1233 as for Clint) the final cost $105. They are brokers for different shipping lines. |

UPS Logistics Freight (1-888-866-2329) is also a good source. They handle items that are too big or too heavy for regular UPS. Shipped one of my D2 bumpers from door-to-door for $164, including insurance for $650. The bumper weighs almost 100 lbs. Yellow Freight charged me almost $250 to send one to Utah. |

I was on the other end pricing shipping of a roof rack out for James. He seems to have found the sweet connection. The gotcha' for the racks are their dimentional size. The prices I was quoated on a roof rack 88"x60"x16"/60lbs from Philly to Denver: - UPS Logistics $380+ door to door - Con-Air was $180 door to door. - FedEx Freight was @ $270 drop-off/pickup. Greg Did you really mean to say insurance cost you an additional $486.00? |

No. I meant that the price included insuring the bumper for $650. Sorry 'bout that. |
