I currently have 2 Hella 4000's Euro Beams and I am going to buy two more 4000's. I'm going to put the four of them on my roof rack. The question is, which lens type should i get for the other two and what is the best setup. I don't know whether to get two pencils to put in the middle or two cornerings to put on the outside. Any suggestions? Oh, and any comments on the glare of the lights that are up there? Is there much glare? thanks.

Add two cornering beams. Its a good match. No reflection problems (but my disco is black).

Dean,

The scratches on your hood divert the bright reflections away... hehehe

"Lines of character" - D. Brown

Had to laugh at that one, classic Dean. Mines got plenty of lines too, from DB-led Pine Barrens excursions. My neighbor asked me today, looking at the scratches, "What the heck did you do to your truck?" I'll mention the "lines of character" thing to him but I don't think he'll understand.

Heck, Dean, I'm ready now! Haven't been in the woods for a couple of months now, what with the new job and all, seems there's no time. I may have to accompany Glenn up to Vermont unless we can do something closer to home.

Speaking of putting lights on roof racks, does anyone know of some good places to look for pictures for ideas of what looks good on the rack. Also what is everyone's opinion on the IPF lights, the ones that Land Rover shows in some of their pictures and has started selling. Which ones are the IPF that are sometimes seen on rovers and on the roof rack, and any idea what those run, what hella would they compare to, like the 4000? Thanks for the help

IPF lights are made by ARB in Australia. They also make the Old Man Emu(OME) suspension components. I don't have them but a good number of people here use them. I heard somewhere that one plus they have against Hella's is that they are "lockable"? I'm not sure if that's true though, I'm sure someone will chip in.

Dean,

As Kyle would say: "Shuddup"!! Don't you know it pays to move around and never leave a trail?

Glenn, you got mail (or you will soon).
