I have a question guys, does anyone have any experience with Surco roof racks (the kind Atlantic British sells). I am thinking about getting one of the 50'x50' ones but want know if anyone has any thoughts about them first. If anyone knows anything I am really interested in how sturdy they are. This looks like it might be a good rack for me because Im really not a big fan of the full lenght racks, of course I will order it from somewhere cheapter than AB. Any thoughts will be appreciated.

I want to see pics of it on your Disco if you get it. I was thinking of getting one too. I think it might look good with the roofline. |

Hey guys, I have one and have put a ton on it.
I wanted the full length but at the time didn't feel like forking out the $$$$ for it.
I have hauled wood pvc and anything else you can think of.
I'll send you pics.

Blake Luse has some pics of one in his gallery but he has it moved up towards the middle of the roof. I plan on getting mine here: http://www.accessconnect.com/safari.htm $302.85 with mounts (free shipping too, AB charges a ton to ship them).

Bill Leek has the Surco half-rack on his truck in the photo gallery. Another guy here in KC has the full Surco and it is pretty sturdy. |

I haven't seen one on a Disco so I don't know about looks, however for function- I've got two buddies who have Surco racks. One's on a Cherokee and two are on an F-350. They both love 'em and I've seen way more weight than is reasonable on both. Built well. |

Here's my Surco....
I added the mesh floor.
It's very strong and high enought that boths sunroofs can be opened without hitting the rack. |
