Warranty Gold 5yrs/100k miles = $3433 It covers 99% of items/repairs including gaskets. The 1% not covered is wear and tear like tires and brakes. Warranty Village/Sam's 4yrs/100k = $2909 Coverage "seems" the same. They are not being shady or anything like that. I just did a basic comparison. I know that obvious would be Sam's but Warranty Gold seems so reputable. I'm about to call Hal Moses. I need some feedback. I know some use Hal but how has he been? Thanks Jack 99d1 |

I am in the process of researching the extended warranty issue. Land Rover has their own policy but it seems rather expensive. 2yrs 20K miles for $2,200. Dealer tells me this is the best policy. Anyone know anyting about this? |

had 2 warranties through him. he is a broker for MANY warranty companies out there. just read the fine print on what is covered. he seems like a good dude, but when shit starts happening he is helpless. you are at the mercy of the warranty company....not Hal. my 4 year warranty for my '96 D1 cost me $1700. buyers choice is what i have. $3400 is out of line. ugh. |

I also have buyer's choice through Hal, just got it. However have not had to use it yet so its hard to say. Many of the companies you look into I would be very skeptical of before jumping on anything. Research the broker and warranty, find out if the warranty even knows of that broker or if they work together. Believe me, you will be surprised what you hear. I have checked out all phacets of warranties for Land Rovers of the last year and its a pain but hopefully worth it in the long run. However warranties have alot to do with what model, year and if you under 50,000 miles. Once you go over its a different ball game. Also if you still are under factory warranty than you can get the land rover warranty and many others because they know your vehicle has been kept maintained and there is no period between a warranty where there was a chance for poor maintenance. Good Luck and any other questions you might have I will be happy to try to answer them. |

The LR dealerships in Atlanta will not sell an extended warranty to me! Everyone keeps telling me that they can but they won't. I've tried. They told me to call another state. |

Buyer's choice is a company non-affiliated with Land Rover, however a provider of a warranty that will cover Land Rovers. Like I said I have not yet had to deal with a repair with my Buyer's Choice so I don't know how it will be. I tried for a long time to get the dealership/rover warranty. Finally after weeks they came back only to tell me they would not provide it on any vehicle that was not still under their factory warranty and even if I had the factory they could only do 2 years 24,000 for like $3000 or something outrageous like that. |
