Hey Tim, how about some more info on your sweet Disco? The pop down 6" screen looks great. Where did you get? Did you install it? Let me know.

Thanks.

John

Sorry I took so long to get back. Greg check your e-mail. John, the sceen is an Auto-Cinema. I own a home/car audio store, so I installed the screen myself. Before you ask, I plan to change the stereo, I allways get a bunch of crap from my friends about it(the factory stereo). That was the next thing to do, except the 3.9 took a dive. Know of any cheap engines? For a 6" dropdown.

Thanks for the info Tim. I wasn't going to ask about the radio :)

I think the radio in the DIs are far better than the stock RRs (older models).

Sorry to hear about the 3.9.

So, you wanna trade a 4.6 for some Video/Audio equipment????

Where's your shop?

Nice looking Rover!

Tim,

Can you even turn the wheels? Looks like insta-rub.

Do tell if/how much you are rubbing and what the plans are.

Tom, I was thinking that same thing...

Tom,
The tires don't rub the fenders at all, but they do rub the radius arms. I had 255/85's on factory rims and the 35x12.50's on MTR rims rub a little less. I have not taken the truck off road since I installed the MTR rims. I plan on installing fender flares(cut the fenders about 2 inches. I can't make up my mind if I should use Disco II flares or try and find something else.

Tim,

The rear door is gonna be an issue. Have you seen the ECR project discotech? Those flares may be the ticket for you.

Careful when you go off-road. When you cross axle, you may take out your fenders, especially if the front wheels are turned. Side by side, it would seem that I have more clearance with my 33's, but they hit.

Keep posting, I am working through my rub issues and would like to know what you do. I don't think the Disco II flares would do it, as you may end up cutting the rear door. I don't think the Disco II flares would do much to seal the hole, but I haven't tried it myself.

Look here how Marty had to cut the doors on his...

Tom
The 255/85 I had were 32.5" tall (BF KM's) and the 35's are 33.5". The 1" and the 2" wide were offset by using a 1.5" difference in offset rim.
I have tried to e-mail some companies "down under" about flares, never get a response.

Ah, gotcha.

I have tried Rangie Spares as well, they don't seem to care about my queries.

ECR is selling the flares again. I think that may be why Rangie doesn't respond. However, ECR won't have them for 4 weeks.

If my A-Arm extension doesns't work to stop the rub, I may have to break down and do the flares. I was thinking of just buying the DII ones and seeing what i could come up with.

I also have a brother in law in australia. I am sure he would be happy to purchase and ship a couple sets of flares for me. That is the ace in the hole if need be.

Tell me about the rims. What brand/how much and specs if you don't mind me asking.
