Anyone got any info on replacement water pumps. Can they be sourced from a NAPA shop, for example. Anyone used non-genuine LR pumps?

If not, who's the cheapest source? DAP, RN (?), BritAtlantic etc?

Thanks

I tried to find one at every parts store in Milwaukee. IIRC, Napa said they could get one within a week. I just bit the bullet and bought it from the dealership. I think it was around $80

Andy - make sure your idler bearings aren't fooling you. Mine were, and the water-pump idler fell completely off. pump seems fine. I now have an extra for a '91 RRC - give me a holler via email if you need it. I paid about $120 for mine, and haven't taken it out of the box. That $80 dealer cost is looking good! Sometimes you score w/ the dealer, other times . . . well, you know.

cheers

Thanks, guys. Issac, the thing has a small leak, so I'm gonna pull it and the hoses, thermostat and drive belt to do some preventive maintenance. Don't want it blowing out on me on the may to Vermont....

DAP sells them for about $65.

Just checked out the dealer and, wow, $240+!!

Don't know if the DAP is a genuine one, but I'm not certain if $240 buys so much 'reassurance'
