With a 2 year old Son, and another little one due in 10 days time being stationed in the back of my Disco, it's time to invest in some waterproof seat covers.

Any recommendations? Don't want to spend a fortune, but they must fit the Disco rear seats without looking out of place (I know the head rests are a funny shape).

Thanks
Horness

No help no the covers but I hope you don't mind a question.

I put my sons seat in the back of my '99 D1 just last weekend (truck is a week old to me). Currently the seat is in the middle of the rear but I tried the sides and had no luck. The seat had to much play mounted on the side. It seemed to be due to the fact that the lap belt mounts so far forward on the side of the fender. Have you done anything special to make this work so the lap belt doesn't have so much play in it?

Again... sorry for the OT response.

Todd

Hi Todd,

The current seat is fitted behind the driver's seat with no special mods.

It's facing forward, and I simply thread the seat belt through the back of the car seat (as per instructions), attached a clip to one end which locks the two lengths together at the clasp end, and then clipped the seat belt in.

I made sure I ran the belt about 6-8" shorter than needed though, then put my knee in the seat with full force to "push" it into the rear seat, and ensure a tight fit.

There is some play "side-to-side", but nothing from back to front.

Recently in the UK there has been a few announcements about seats being wrongly fitted, I've not had mine checked, but I plan to ASAP.

Any help I can give, either reply, or drop me an email. ;)

Just read it, and I now think that my seat is not compatible with my Disco!

I have the factory water proof seat covers and I like them. They have worked and held up very well. Of course I don't think that they are very cheap.
