Whoever you are, it was perfect! We had just finished our Grand Canyon Camping trip and after letting my brother-in-law drive my disco through the mountains, he was starting to show interest in the trucks. Then we see a lifted/bumper/lights White D1 in the lot at Chang’s and I start telling him about the sense of community shared by rover owners (outside of the Los Angeles area) and wondering if there were any good trails around and after dinner, just like cookies left for Santa, there were some Disco-Web stickers left in my windowsill.

Just one of those things that made me happy to be a part of the land rover community.

So, maybe next time I get out there, you can show me around some of the AZ trails…

Thanks again,

Jon Santana

hey Blue,
I just noticed that you have a pic with the pink jeeps… did they let you drive their trails? I picked up one of their brochures on the way back from the G.C. and was wondering if one might be able to drive one’s Disco, instead of paying to get driven around in a jeep ;)

Thanks,

Jon Santana

The pink jeeps (and other vehicles for hire) are just tourist companies taking people for a ride. The trails are public - free to anyone with a vehicle that can make it. I like to think of the pink jeeps as pink parasites.... The turn-off for the Broken Arrow Trail (the main pink jeep run and where all those Sedona pics in my gallery were taken) is about a mile out of Sedona along Hwy 179.
