I didn't know that adding Wal-Mart seat covers was a "custom interior". Sweet. |

Her parents had bought it for a commuter, then got an insurance settlement so they bought themselves Jeeps and gave her the Aspire. At the time, we had two junky Jeeps and my Series, so we got rid of one of the Jeeps when she got the Aspire. (Then a year later, they wanted us to pay for it, after he other Jeep was dead... still a sore point, cause it wasn't worth buying IMO). Anyway, she only works a couple of miles from the house, whereas I've got to head up into the coalfields to work, so..... lucky me, so I can drive the Disco... I want to get her a Freelander, but she wants to build and move into a new house on our subdivision lot first so we can get away from this drafty ol' farmhouse. So, once we get a house built, we'll get her something better. What's funny, the dang thing is really a Kia! Seriously, the VIN plate says "Made for FoMoCo by Kia".... lol.... -L |

RE: poser.4x4.org My favorite part of the site: * Lexus RX300 (same engine, chassis as the Toyota Camry for $38,000. But now you can claim to have more offroad prowess than a . . . Camry) :-) This has extra meaning for me since there's an RX300 I see a few times a week. Each time, I'm doing about 70 on the interstate, she rushes up behind the Disco, flashing her lights, until my back door would hit her if it opened (uh, I'm in the right lane and there are three other lanes to choose from, lady). Then she flys by me and shoots me an expression like I'm doing something wrong, and cuts back into my lane when she has about six feet of clearance, even if she has to immediately move out again because of another car in front of me. Good weather, bad weather...doesn't matter. I was really hoping we would have gotten some decent snow this year so that I could find her stuck on the side of the road (I KNOW she's going to hydroplane / ice skate one day). I wanted to pull the Disco up right behind her burried mall crawler, flash my lights, then pull back on the road. Oh well...we must have our dreams. Lawrence, Maybe she recognizes you (i. e., your vehicle) as a stronger, higher species, and she wants to mate with you. HA!! |

<sarcasm>Thanks, Bill.</sarcasm> I personally did not find the driver or the Lexus appealing. Although the image of the Disco mounting the Lexus is rather amusing. L_Tilly [email protected] 96 Disco "Beowulf" NH, USA |

My favorite is Jamie's Chopped 88LX... And what a DEAL! He paid less for his car than I paid for the little plastic front bumper trim!!! I wonder how those things would be offroad? Pay 75 bucks for the car, that leaves a lot of money left over before you get into LR range! I am sure with a good left and some lockers you should be able to compete with the Land Rover. |

Another quote: "The exhaust actually got a lot louder when I took it off. I'll probably take it to a good shop, and just have them weld it back on straight." LMAO |
