Just wondering if anyone has tried to figure out if and how to put a Disco jump seat in a Rangie. Either side.

there's some wisdom in what Rob said.

whatever the seat in the back, there's no headroom. most likely, the disco's seat folding leg would have to be chopped.

I have just been through finding out that we are expecting child number 4. This did threaten my RR ownership for a while but the solution was to fit an extra seat in between the front seats. Now I have a certified 6 seater RR and the child that sits in the middle is happy as can be being the uhf operater for dad!!
The seat was built buy the previous owner but removed b4 we bought it. A little bit of detective work and I tracked him and all the plans down then found out that he still had the original seat still in his shed. Apparently he updated(mine is an 83) to a 92ish model so had to build a completely diff seat. I can e-mail a pic if anybody wants to see mine.Just send me your e-mail address.
ps: I am in Melbourne, Australia.

I've seen a English (the country - not the language) publication dedicated to Rovers that advertisded third seats avaliable that installed similar to a stationwagon (Not side dropdowns like the disco) Was at borders (the store - not the nations deviders). There were several ads for them. Kept listing the pounds. I called and told them I wanted to know how much it cost - not its weight. Those english! Seriously they're avaliable for about $500. Ill post the mag. name when I see it again.

The magazine is Land Rover Owner International. Printed in the UK, but you can get at Borders for ~$8.50.

Atlantic British has one listed in their catalog. Check their site www.atlanticbritish.com

Is that Rovers the vehicle, or Rovers the dog?

We just had our fourth child last week. Even though my truck sees 90% + offroad use, we needed the additional seating room in my 1988 Classic for family wheeling. I looked into the "occasional" seats from Atlantic British, but was not about to spend $900.00. I did some measuring, and figured that I could install a Jeep (CJ/YJ/or TJ) fold-and-tumble rear seat. I got a great deal on one for under $100.00 (check E-bay or Jeep sites), and mounted it with little trouble. Now we have seating for seven (with belts) and the seat folds up when not in use. I mounted in facing forward, and headroom is not a problem for the kids.
