Ever since I got my LR I have began noticing LR's in movies more often. It seems most of the LR's are just for looks though. I haven't seen any where they are off-roading. I'm sure you guys know of a few out there. Care to share?

P.S. The recent Michael Douglas movie doesn't count nor does the Laura Croft movie.

The funniest part of that Michael Douglas movie is when he manages to peel out in the disco. The sound editors obviously have never driven a land rover.

My favorite is when they are making all these skidding and burn out street sounds and the cars on a dirt road.

Various Bond movies had Land Rovers in them.

Octopussy has a nice Classic Rangie convertible. Very nice. And a babe driving it as well.

I can't stand the new Bond's. Brosnan is AWFUL!!!!.Give Sean Conary a wig, and let him make some more!!! Plus the stories are really terrible. The woman are nice to look at, but the movies have really taken a downfall.

JMO, FWIW.

I saw a new scene over the weekend: Exit Wounds, with Steven Segal. Although I'm sure the rest of the movie sucks (I didn't watch it all), there's a nice car chase scene with a classic rangie that even has it doing a 15 ft jump or so and getting all shot up.

I hadn't heard this before. Probably because no one else actually saw the movie.

Well, although I LOVE to look at Pierce...I must admit I liked the old movies better. Goldeneye was really the only 'new' one I've liked. Mostly for the Aston Martin! But I like Sean Connery too! He was asked to do them before Pierce, but declined.

I like Pierce as 007 better then I like Roger Moore at it. Connery was the best Bond though.

Tailor of Panama. The tailor drove a Disco. My wife hates that movie cause she thinks Pierce is a pig in it.

Michelle Pfeiffer in "Wolf" drives Jack Nicholson around in a Rangie.

The Bad guys in "the Saint" Drive Rangies.

The two English wankers that are constantly messing around with Brad Pitt in "Snatch" are driving a Rangie as well.

I was watching "The Today" show (NBC) last Friday. Katie Couric had a documentary about the King and Queen of Jordan. They showed Queen Rania (sp?) going around town in a chaufered D2. They later gave Katie Couric a tour around the desert in a convoy of D2's and some other 4x4s.

Dr. Dolittle II - White Gold Range Rover, Eddie Murphy [and kids!] talk to various animals and "off-road" the Rover big-time.

Ace Ventura II - Series IIa's and III parked at African estate on the lawn and getting wrecked at Jim Carrey's hands - hilarity ensues. I lose it every time he is birthed out of that Rhino's **s! Oh, s***!

Weepy Africa Movie About a Woman Who Loses Her Husband and Oldest Snake-Charming Son and Stays There Because She's Strong Movie - A Land Roverphile wet dream with lovely Series trucks used to catch poachers and drive around in the bush - hilarity ensues.

Most any movie set in england or ireland. Especially if it involves the IRA and or british military. I've seen many, but can't think of any of their names right off hand.

Dee, for some reason I only remember the "Skinnies", or rather "Technicals" as they're were known, were cruising about in chopped top Chevy pickup, but hey you've just given me another excuse to watch this awesome movie one more time!

There was a black 109 with a safari top in the begining of Black Hawk Down. It went up for sale in jax Fl by by a local LR importer.

The movie "Playing God" with David Duchovny(Fox Mulder) and Angelina Jolie has a chase scene with about four or five black RRC.

"Hatari", set in Africa with John Wayne, has a several (obviously series trucks, I think all series ones). Funny, though, the cast of the movie are all driving right hand jeeps! I'd be interested in finding out what kind of good old USA studio arm-twisting happened to make sure the movie was filmed using Jeeps.

Just saw 12 monkeys and noticed the LWB also.

John Carpenter's Vampires. When the lady who was bitten tries to climb out the hotel's window she looks down and there's a yellow Disco parked on the side of the road. I also liked the dual-winch-to-drag-vampires-around bumper in the film - damn shame it was on the front of a j**p.
