My sister is considering buying a 98 328 BMW but it does not have a CD changer in it. Does anyone know if the Rover changers are compatible? Or have suggestions where she could find one for less than dealer cost (other than Ebay)?

Sus - I doubt the LR CD changer and the BMW CD changer are compatible. I'd suggest hitting the Roadfly bulletin boards.

www.roadfly.com

They have good traffic and also have a good for sale section.

Good luck!

The aftermarket Alpine changer is a direct replacment for it but you will need a $50 adaptor to make it work.

Sus, the BMW OEM changer is the same unit that's in the D2 but I don't know if it's pin compatible. Either way the BMW OEM unit costs less than the LR OEM unit from the dealer. As Todd said check out www.bimmer.org. Pacific BMW has good deals on CD changers too. As does Tischer and VOB BMW I think if you buy online.
