I had Snooty Beast in the dealership for the 60K and one of the techs decided to find out what the siren switches do. While the vehicle was in the new service bay at Land Rover Columbia. With all of the doors to the service bay shut. And the siren is rated at 100watts (about 120 db) and is designed for street use.

So, always take the power fuse out of the siren system before taking the vehicle into the dealership.

you kind of have to feel sorry for the guy but I bet he will think twice about poking around other peoples cars now.

HA HA, reminds me of the vanilla coke commercials!

Hello my friend, your youthful curiosity has been rewarded, you are now deaf so stop being so nosey and playing with stuff you should not have.

Michael,

I live in Mount Pleasant. I have a stock D2. Is there anything decent around here?

MIchael and Hank: I am actually in Orangeburg; Columbia is nearest dealership to me. Snooty is a stock 98 LE with some firefighting equipment and minor towing gear added.

Talk about the best of everything: expensive fire equipment (BIG red toys that don't stop at red lights), a Land Rover (smaller black toy that doesn't have to stop at red lights) and being a retired Sailor (lots and lots of reasons to run when I see red or blue lights).

I would like to meet up too. I am getting tired of all my off-roading being getting my buns to the scene of an unpleasant experience.
