I have some unused space above my interior light. Anyone have any ideas on what can be put/installed here.
I've got a 99 Disco SE.

Leslie & Garrett - your conversation is both inaccurate and politically incorrect. Please refer to them as "Chalies" in a foreign automobile.

Thank you

Is the file size under 50kb.. If it's not then that's why it isn't working.

What goes in these spots originally? Since I have an SE model, I don't have anything installed.
Btw, nice looking installs.

Part of it is the homelink transmitter space, part of it is sunroof controls.... I dunno exactly, mine has nothing there either. I've been planning for a CB there, but the wife's not happy w/ the idea. The switches for the lights there gets a thumbs-up from me, tho'.... Hmmm......

Draw back of mounting the CB up there is bashing your head on it in a mishap. Those corners are pretty sharp.

I can see that with a big one, but I'm thinking about one of the little ones, kind of like Bill's above. I'll keep that in mind, tho....

Bashing my head on the CB?? - it's called a seatbelt - unless you sit some really strange place while driving...

Now if I could stop bashing my head on the f***ing B pillar, I'd be happy! :)

Not that hard, saw pic the other day of a rollover in a 90, the only injury was the guy slicing his head on the cb, blood everywhere. A gash on the forehead bleeds like mad, but not usualy life treatening, but the fucker comes loose, and with a bit of bad luck the corner gets you in the eye. Like mom said, it's all fun and games until someone losses and eye :-)

Anyway I don't care, just pointing it out as a consideration.

Blue, you should cross your legs and put your left foot(those nasty web feet) up against the beer bottles when they start to jiggle-

or maybe you can start drinking Pint size Stout(the brown stuff in the brown bottle)

-insert smile anywhere in this message-

94Rover is on the right track - Red Stripe, here I come! JRoc - corona flows like water down here...I now drink it in place of water to hydrate myself. And Garrett, Guiness should indeed produce a 40!

This isn't a true interior mod, but my solution for installing my CB without drilling any holes. The bracket installs in about three minutes and and removes just as fast. I provided screw holes for permanent mounting, but the clamping action holds perfectly fine by itself. I have a few on hand if anyone is interested. I will post a new string on the Classified Section for interested parties. Cost is $15.00+S/H.

I like your mike holder! What kind of radio is that BTW?

Posted on Tuesday, March 12, 2002 - 01:55 pm:   Edit Post Delete Post Print Post

Ali, The mike holder came with the CB. The radio is a very old GE model from Radio Shack. Its about 15 years old, so I am in the process of upgrading to a new radio with a built-in SWR Meter.
