Thursday is no good for me. First UVA football game of the season. Wahoo-freakin'-WA! Otherwise I'm interested and free. Any other day would be great.

Mantaray - I see you are still using your VT email address. That's neat (not a joke). They don't terminate them when you leave?

well, it was worth a try. Sus, let me know, when you can, what days you're free. since you have the busiest schedule it seems, it'll have to be planned around you. ;) i'll be in Blacksburg this weekend (Tech's first game)and hopefully in Raleigh next weekend, so those are out for me as well. next week?

James - Tech accounts stay active for a year after graduation. after that, the send a notification to alumni that if they want to keep the address, they need to sign in at their website. otherwise, they are terminated. i like having the VT address adn it keeps things simple for me since i'm semi-nomadic.

Okay, so which one of you guys knows Emily Farner Johns?! She was joking with me this morning about our 'Rover obsessions!'

OOOOHHHHH.....I just talked to someone in the service and parts department at Hammersley motors. And he said that they are going to become a Land Rover Dealership in the next couple of years?! How exciting!

Its me. I am friends with Em and her husband. I noticed your rig on Rivermont, outside RMWC, and I asked her if the owner of that vehicle worked in there.

I have also heard the Hammersly rumors. I had heard of a Roanoke site.

"In there" Yes, we work behind the great wall! :) Sorry, I just had to laugh about that!

She was making fun of me this morning about our possible 'meet and greet'...she said "What are you going to talk about? I like my Rover. Yeah, me too."

She's a mess and so is Chet-they are great people. I have enjoyed getting to know them.

Are you planning on attending MAR? I'm mailing the registration form today. I travel for the school and will be out until that weekend, but it's already on the books!

I'm taking my truck to Hammersley monday to have the brakes checked...I'll find out fairly quickly if I want to do business with them or not!

Sus - i was in Outdoor Trails earlier this week and got talking to John umm... never got the last name, anyway i was in the store for an hour and a half just chatting and found out you used to work there. freaky. then we got talking about Lynchburg people we might know in common. i mentioned Jared Hannah, and then Dana..... to which he said "Oh, you know Dana? You and Susannah will get along famously then".

anyway, i ended up meeting Camille (GWagenBabe) on thursday since she was in the area that night. was a good time. would be great if we can actually get the 4 of us in one place. i had a black D2 wave at me the same night i went to Outdoor Trails. was being driven by a chick. i haven't decided on MAR yet. i think i can make it, but i need to double check my shedule. hopefully all will be well and i'll see you guys there.

The Hammersley people in Lynchburg can be really helpful! Make sure you speak with the chick service advisor... she seemed really nice & sensible when i went there a few weeks ago to get things checked out on the G. They even have their own G Mech (woo hoo!) And a winch I want :)

The Roanoke Hammersley will include a LR dealership (Even a test track!) once they move into their new building out on RT220. I have no idea how soon/far that is from now, but I'll find out in the next few days.

John Futrell....his family owns Outdoor Trails...and yes, I'm friends with all those crazy guys in there! I worked there through my senior year at Macon. And OH GOD_you know DANA?! We must talk. Poor Jared, how is he?! I haven't seen him in a while...

We can try to meet up sometime...but I can't make any promises...life is hectic now. But I'm definitely going to MAR, so YOU SHOULD TOO!

Camille, thanks for the info on H-motors. I'm going to get them to check a few squeals I've got before driving during the Labor Day weekend. I don't want to break something! They were great when I had my old Mercedes Diesels serviced there...

Sus - yeah, i know Dana. though, i didn't know her as well as you did it seems (lucky me). Jared is doing well. he truck situation justs gets more and more humorously painful everytime i hear it, but that's Jared.

as far as meeting up... any frre time this week? i will try to make it to MAR. i have friends in Charlottesville, so that will help. thing is, if there's a chance to go to Raleigh and see this girl... well, you get the idea.
