Wow, what a deal! I called and asked if they wanted to take a trade in (my '96 Disco with 116k), they said they'd give me $23,000 on trade so I'm thinking of going for it. Ok, not really, wonder what they're smoking? |

$54k would not be an unreasonable starting bid for her... especially with that spectacular online test-drive performance... |

That place is just down the street from where I work. You should look at their online inventory. They have some crazy rigs and sportscars. It's fun to drive by and see what crack dealers are buying from them. The actual price for that rig on their website is 59K.... |

While we are on the subject of expensive cars, here's something I thought you folks would find interesting: Price of new RR in Uruguay, South America: U$S145,000 Price of new Disco (TD) U$S 60,000 Price of new Freelander (TD) U$S 45,000 Just thought you would find it amusing for a thrid world country. Also, there are tons of them on the road. Please, I would appreciate no stupid comments about third world countries. Thank you. John C. |

Man John, That's out of control. Kind of reminds of a certain road trip where Garrett and I were talking to truckers on I-95 south of DC. They all thought our Discos cost $65K each. Of Course we had nothing to do with that...... Paul'00 pig |

This D-90 is in their "Recent Sales" section. Proof that there's a sucker born every minute...abeit a rich one... They claim this '94 only got 1650 miles on the odo! Apparently this "Limited Edition" D-90 also come with a "Limited Edition" odometer which only record off-road miles...

OK for 54K you could have 2 SIII coil sprung V8 conversions done all the toys added and fly to the UK to see them shiped home safely. And still have some left over for a trip to Moab to test them out |

JohnC, if it's of any consolation to you, pricing is even more outrageous in countries like Vietnam, where import tariff and related fees adds 150%(!) to the MSRP. This means a "comfortably equipped" Disco, about $40k MSRP, will be sold for no less than $100k even. Furthermore, 95% of all new car transactions are cash-only(!). The amazing thing is you do see brand new RR's and Lancruisers all over the roads... |
