Last night I "trimmed" the front bumper on my DII. It was getting kind of late and I was cutting away with the dremel and making good noise when I thought, "I hope I'm not disturbing the neighbors." The follow on thought was a laughing, "Hell, they are all probably trying to figure out what kind of an idiot hacks the front bumper off a $40,000 truck with a frickin' dremel." That's when it hit me. "Holy crap. I just hacked the front bumper off a $40,000 truck with a frickin' dremel!! What could have led me to this!?" I'm here to blame all of you. There's no rational reason for someone to behave this way so it must be bad influences. I've modified things on the disco before but last night was the first time I just hacked the hell out of something on the truck and didn't even flinch. My wife tried to joke about it later that night but I was still in denial and I had to resort to putting my fingers in my ears and making juvenile sounds until she stopped talking. Thank you, Discoweb. Rick |

It's all good. I'm not one to mention names, but I rememner the first night of Uwharrie and this guy was cutting out pieces of his truck with tin snips. On the radio you would hear, "rubbins racin" everytime the tires would attempt to remove sheet metal. I won't mention his name, but his white letters are facing out....... |

Rick, just wait 'til you start cutting holes in the side and hacking off your rear quarter panels. As the song goes, "It's Only Just Begun"!

Ya, this all first hit me when I was done installing a set of lights on my roof rack. I had a nice hole in the roof of my green $40,000 2000 Land Rover Discovery with all the options. Shit what was I thinking. Then I relized this is just an expensive toy that I am fortunate enough to have and a wife that is almost OK with me drilling and cutting the truck up. Life is good. |

Just imagine the fun of installing a 100 watt siren and trying to figure out the best location for the speaker. Loud enough for Grandma/Hip hoppers to hear but not enough in the cab to drown out radio traffic. The red light was simple: thats what moon roofs are for! And the best thing is that I can out run our late 1960's tanker with 1500 gallons of water (top speed: 45mph). Haha Bill M. |

Ya, been there done that. Was in search and rescue and installed a 100w siren in an 89 Jeep. Not fun. I also installed red and blue strobes on the front grill and back window along with the light bar on top...Lots of wire! Of course at the time the Jeep was old and I paid less that 7000 for it so drilling, cutting and plain fucking up was no big deal. |
