From time to time the Efi warning light comes on and will stay lit if I wouldnt disconnect the battery shortly every time. Then for weeks everythning is alright. Engine seems to work fine, it is a very early 3.9 V8 (MY89, buildt ´88). When I find time I will follow the measurement procedure that the workshop manual recommends. Still, it appears to be an intermittant fault to me - so by measuring a lot of Ohms I might not find something wrong (?). I thought before I start I could ask for your experience. Anyone once suffering the same ? Something being the likely cause ? Is there a possibility to connect a Laptop to the ECU and read the error code ? I think I have the 14CU Lucas Ecu. Is software available ?????! (Does it necessarily have to do with Lambdasonds, Throttle poti, AirMassMeter, temp.sensors ? Could intermittant ignition failure confuse the ECU, woulnd´t I notice while driving ?) regards, and thanks in advance, Hendrik |
