I am considering buying a 93 LWB RR. It has an ARB Bull Bar, Warn Winch, Roof Rack, and Rock Sliders. EAS works. The paint is pretty bad, but no rust. Southern car. Asking $7500. What do you think.

double check the door sills for rust - get under the carpet

how many miles?

what's it look like under the hood, and under the truck itself?

don't let the bar, winch, rack, sliders, etc talk you into it if the truck itself isn't sound

$7500 sounds pretty good though

how is the upper rear tailgate?

how is the PS box?
jack it up and just the wheel hard left then hard right and see if it leaks.

how many miles?

do as blue says and look under at least the passenger side floor boards, the air con likes to leak there.

lift up the mats in the rear and look for rust.

shceck the corners of the wheel wells when you open up the door, near the door latch.

if she is solid, that price sounds legit.

Ok, I also got a lead on another RR.

1988, 150k miles, New paint job, $G rock sliders, OME HD suppension with retainers. No rust, reported no leaks. My brother is checking it out this weekend. I like the idea of the '88 with CDL, LT230 transfer case. $4500.

Forgot to add, the weather strip around the sunroof has a small leak. The current owner taped it off, and stopped the leak. But can't use the sunroof. Any idea how much and how difficult it would be to replace stripping?

pay in mind the eng OP/SYS for the 88-90
RRC is the Lucas 'hotwire' sys & takes
the testbook or like unit to do engine diag's.

the other drawback is the older units
use 10 spline axles.

$7.5k for a LWB in good shape is OK,
if it has decent accessories & no damage,
thats better!
look for rust, thats the killer.

LOL

The sunroof glass seal is around $60 (from LR)and very easy to install. You can do everything from the top side and all you have to remove is the glass part only...four Torx bolts.
