Hey, so does Kyle and the boys from EE know something we don't about this year's 9/11 timeframe? EE is closed for the next few days and Kyle is on a "vacation." :) Believe me, my truck is packed with some jugs of water and cans of food as well, but you guys are really playing it safe! :)

guess you will find out at MAR there big guy. might want to make sure those Carhartts are on nice and tight buddy or i just might be playing 'sneaky uncle' with you. haha.
or better i will be taking my girlfriends great dane with us and i will just have your bunk partner smear some peanut butter on you and have the dog do the rest. ouch.

Cool, I like great danes. They go good with eggs in the morning :) Do I get a reach around too? Sick man, sick!! Actually, no bunk partner. Going by myself again. I really need to talk some of my friends into wheeling and out of racing. These events really aren't that fun when you are by yourself.

Ya, my wife won't go. She isn't into this type stuff plus, she's preg so she's better off staying home (or shoudl I say I'm better off with her staying home).. I don't want to bring my dog cause he's a pitt bull and most people get all upity about them. Guess, I'll just do the same thing that I did at Uwharrie. Wheel durring the day then drink beer, smoke cigars, and watch movies at night.

ron you are anticipating breaking something. now that you have your own truck to break now i guess it is more fun. but watching alyssa hit stuff is fun too. as long as i am watching from my own truck. haha.

I'm pretty sure I will be attending MAR. Since my new (to me) truck is basically stock, I'm not ready to do anything serious yet. I'd love to ride with someone and help spot if you are willing to teach.

Most likely, I will be attending alone because I can't find anyone to ride along. Anyone from the Eastern Shore of MD going that wants to convoy up?

Posted on Tuesday, September 10, 2002 - 11:57 am:   Edit Post Delete Post Print Post

oh evan it was ALL fun. i mean did you not see the permi-grin on my face the whole time my leg was on fire, the constant double clutching and pumping up of the master cylinder to make sure i had brakes a few hundred feet ahead. or the movement in the wheel and the fear of being blown out of the truck by the next passing 18 wheeler. haha. i liked it so much i will be looking for one this winter damit!! just not sure if i would drive one to MAR again. i mean if i had to get on your 'good' side i would. wink wink.
yeah they may find themselves up ther josh. we will have to see. i mean if i pass a fund raiser car wash on the way down full of teenie bopers i may have to load up. haha. you making the long ass trek down? that sure would be a haul.
and steve.....stock or not get your truck out on the trails. you will leave much and still have tons of fun. just go with some people that are willing to give you a tug once in a while. just about anyone will be happy to help ya out i am sure.

Steve- I'm sure you'll find plenty of rides there, but there are trails that are perfectly fine for stock trucks too!

Eric - funny you should say that - my wife will be about 8 months along by the time of the MAR...needless to say, I'm going solo (don't want the new one born in the middle of the river :) )

Garrett - you're just sick! (get a winch cable yet - hope so for the MAR!)

yeah i got a nice grey 3/8"x125' plasma rope with chafe guard coming my way by this weekend c/o of EE. should be styling then!! haha
yeah i will be using it this weekend when i go play in the mud a few miles from my house. might go solo, so i may need it.

That's cool - good deal! Please make sure to pre-tension it on the drum or you end up with a big time rats nest (doesn't really hurt the rope, but it's pain to sort out)

Finally got the new winch and bumper put on last night (by about midnight :( ). Tonights project is to replace front diff and try to button up all the related loose ends. Somehow I'll make it by MAR.

BTW - picnic was fun - sorry you coudn't make it.

very nice. what winch did you end up with? just stay away from my winch line at MAR on that steep hill along the river. i don't need my line snapping!! haha. when i get the line i will drop you a.......well......line.
yeah just too much happening that weekend to make the gathering. would like to have done that.
just got all the goodies for Jen's D2. (OME shocks, springs and dampener). that will be some weekend soon. then new meats!!

ps: can i pretension it by trying to pull down a tree or move someones car out of my parking space?? haha.

Let me understand this gp. You're proposing to go out in the woods alone, roll in the mud, whip out your chafeless "plasma rope" and yank yourself around by it? U R sew SIK!
