I flew to Newark, NJ on Tuesday for a business meeting on Wednesday, then flew back yesterday. What a nasty trip. We did however take the opportunity drive into New York Tuesday night to see Ground Zero. My friend took his digital and got some pics.
The mural reads The American spirit is not measured by the size of the act but by the size of the heart. It was weird to be there. I don't know know how many of you have been to NY but I am sure you can imagine how noisy it is 24x7. When we were at Ground Zero it was absolutely silent. Unfortunately we were there at dusk so the pictures are dark.

Todd, Thanks for the pics. I lived in NYC for a few years and was at work 12 blocks away from the WTC when it all happened. My wife and I have since moved back to Los Angeles and are trying to get our lives back together. I guess what I'm getting at is, it's a good feeling to know that people all around the US and the world are sincere in their sentiments. Thanks again. J. Santana |

Thanks Todd. I flew home from New York on September 10th 2001. I grew up there and lost 3 friends (two firefighters and one in tower 2) and I made sure I was there this year to remember them on the 11th. It is really nice to know that others are thinking about it. Best Wishes, Gregg |
