Intermountain LR in Salt Lake. They replaced the tie rod and ends last year and I just got a alignment yesterday and found out from my mechanic who is a very reliable guy that they put on the wrong parts. The time before that they charged me for replacing the tension pulley for a bad bearing which they believed was causing a bad high pitched noise. Guess what the noise was still there. They couldn't figure out the problem. So I left having to pay for the pully and labor. It ended up to be I just needed to replace the belt. I took it back hoping they would at least throw in a belt for me. Their response was sorry we can't get a belt for your Disco. Bunch of BS if I ever heard of one. I left went to Napa bought a belt replaced it myself. Presto fixed the problem no more noise. Let's see the time before that they tried to charge me for replacing my sunroof rails when I asked them to do it while it was still under warrenty and the couldn't get the parts "conviently until the warrenty ran out" $2100 and didn't even call me to ask if they could do it and charge me for it. My truck was just in for the 60k service. I show up and get a $2700 bill. after 2 hours of arguement. I walked out without paying. Hmm lets see they were selling rebuilt transmissions as new one. I don't want to say on here how I found that out but it was from a 1st hand source. (There has got to be something illegal there.) I could go on.... They agreed to put my truck up next Tuesday and take a look a the tie rod and tie rod ends to see if they were what my mechanic said. Who just happens to know Land Rovers as well as Bill from GBR. (he was recommended by Bill) THANK YOU BILL!! I have never been more impressed with his service and knowledge. If you guys are ever in Salt Lake and have problems Clarke at Regent Street service is your guy. Not only does he know land rovers but he has a very large backgroud of info. Plus he owns a a few himself. If I would have paid the dealership on what they charged me for repairs the last 5 years I would have shelled out about 10-15 grand. I stopped going to them back in nov 2001 after Bill from GBR gave me Clarke's number. Every year their service manager changes too.
