Well, I have been looking for new tires for my Disco and had decided on Dunlop Radial Rovers R/Ts. As it turns out I waited too long and would not have the tires installed in time for MAR. While asking about other options and a new spare (since I'm moving up to 245/75-16) the salesman said he'd look in the back for any odd ball remnants. Guess what ?! He found 4 BF Goodrich TracEdges with 200 miles on them (the customer exchanged them for a highway tire) that he said he'd sell me for $50 each! Whoo! New tires for 1/3 the price I had budgeted!
The Rover god's are smiling on me today. |

They'll smile today, but wait till tomorrow. They'll realize the mistake they made and cause one of those new tires to be torn up, at highway speed, there by not only causing you to get a NEW one but also making you buy a replacement wheel because your old one is now dented beyond repair.

Sounds like a good deal but go easy on them for a few hundred miles to make sure, Also get a road hazzard from them or ones like Discount Tires it has saved me even if you dont buy from them they will sell you the warranty... |

You didn't do bad, sounds like...... 
I just re-shoed the wife's Disco with BFG's Commerical T/A Traction tire, the replacement for the TracEdge.... Got 'em at Wal-Mart, who price-matched Sam's Club (that way I could go to the Wally-World in VA and pay half the sales tax that I would have in TN at Sam's). We'll have to see how they do... I think they'll be good...

So far, very good. They're quieter than the Dunlop R/Ts I had on my Disco.
She's not gonna let me REALLY test 'em out, lol, but, I'm hopeful that at MAR that I can get her to try 'em..... we'll see....
