All,

I've installed a bra on my Disco after reading the Escape! thread. cheers

One time, when I was leaving Safeway, I got my rear tire off the ground too! cheers I was so scared. eek But then, after spinning it furiously, it landed back on the other side of the parking-hump-stopper-thingy and boy, was I releived! Whew!

Funny thing is that an old 80's subaru legacy wagon has more articulation then that CRV and Escape. I watched a guy take that thing all over the place around here. It got beat to hell but, it was really fun to watch.

They are like kids in a playground with a kiddie version of dad's truck.

It's really quite cute, ah one day the young uns will grow up and get big people trucks.

Exactly Ross, I think Brian Jackson should post his disco in their "for sale" forums as well. Might be to big of a step though, maybe they should just get Xterras first.

Careful boys! Don't forget that some 44" boggered,10"lifted good o'l boy is checking out your photos and doing the same thing. It's all perspective. Don't forget there is always a bigger tire to be had:)

I did run a trail a few months ago in my D2 with 32" tires... I was told by some bubba's running 36-44" tires to "get the piece of shit Land Rover off the trail." Then they asked if I was running lockers and I told them no and they all shut up real fast and said "no fucking way!" I drove past the obstacle and watched them drive the same obstacle and it was like watching the 3 stooges. I laughed all day with that memory. I had another person in my vehicle for a ride along (jeeper) and he said his next vehicle was going to be a Rover.

Al,
If I had a buck each time I was asked the same question I would have enough for ARB's front and rear. Oh and I would use the extra cash to get one of those cool D90 bras:)

I don't doubt that BIG tires have their place. My point with the story was that people seem to depend too much on their equipment and don't really learn how to use it. I wish I ran the video camera for that obstacle when those guys tried it. This is not just on the trail but on the street. I work with a guy who claims his car has been measured at 500hp (or is it 600hp this week) but still gets spanked by "lesser" cars.

Sean, I would be able to BUY the D90 if I had a buck each time I was asked "dude, you runnin' lockers?" One day I may install them but I almost want to keep them off my vehicle so I can keep telling people that the diffs are open. :)
