I need to get my CB wired up for MAR. I originally ran the hot wire through the fuse box, to the fuse for the rear wiper motor. This caused my lights to dim in and out every two seconds. So I am trying to figure out a way to wire it up. Any Ideas? It is in an 89 RRC. Thanks, Will Bobbitt [email protected] |

I run mine off the wire for the radio (security wire - always on) that way I can use the CB even if the ignition is off. |

I rewired the plug lighter at the cubby box to be hot all the time. Then used that to run the CB. Works flawlessly. -P |

i just plugged into the cigar lighter socket at the bakc of the cubby. i hard wired the adaptor to the end of the CB cord. i guess you could hard wire it from the inside and iliminate the plug. i then screewed it to the back of the cubby, works nicely and stays out of the way. i rest the hand set in the pocket in the back of the pass seat

I spliced it with the wires for the rear cigarette lighter and ran the wires up to the dash along side the rear heating tubes in the center console. It works awesome and doesn't involve any major wiring. My CB is mounted where the center tray is on the dash, unscrew it and use the existing screw holes for the Cb cradle. Your done in about 10 mins. -Stephan 88 rangie |
